Crikey Aphrodite Corsets

Corset construction

All corsets are made from a core strength layer of cotton coutil. This is a strong, tightly-woven twill which is intended specifically for this purpose. They're boned with a combination of flat steels and spiral steels. Spirals give you more movement and are generally more comfortable however some people prefer the more rigid feel of all flat steels so I can of course accommodate this. In addition, I use quality busk fasteners and proper two part grommets in either nickel* plated, brass or antique black.

There is normally an outer layer of fashion fabric. This is the fun bit and there's a tremendous amount of variation possible. Silk of various types, quilting weight cotton prints, satin, or what about something different from the norm like linen or wool suiting. If you already have a fabric you'd like to use then we can certainly use it if it's suitable.

There are also many styling possibilities. External channels give a different look, as do lace overlays or trim, colour contrasts, embroidery, ruffled edges, halter straps, etc. I also provide rear modesty panels for a small additional charge and alway use a small modesty placket behind the busk.

* If you have an allergy to nickel let me know in advance as I can use an alternative.
