OCTOBER 2017

Cupped Corsetry Class

Friday 27th and Saturday 28th October 2017

Trades Hall, 85 Glassford Street Glasgow

An intense 2 day class taught by myself and never before held in Glasgow. Cupped corsetry classes are rather rare.

You will use a pre-made toile (kit provided) to learn how to adapt a corset into a cupped style.
This will be fitted - benefiting from my bra fit experience as well as corsetry of course.
You'll adapt the pattern, create cups to fit and learn how to install them and build the corset.
At the end you'll be ready to take it forward into your own finished piece.

The Trades Hall is a gorgeous 18th Century Adam building in the heart of the city. Close to all amenities. Reduced cost parking available

Cost £ 300 (including materials)

AUTUMN 2017

Fit and Construction Class

Date - TBC

Venue - TBC

We'll be covering basic fit, some simple pattern manipulation and then construction and finish. At the end of the course you'll have a antique inspired strong, single layer corset fitted to you.

We'll be using the Sew Curvy pattern, which has been tried and tested in the very popular Oxford School of Corsetry classes and is curvier and better shaped than any of the usual commercially available patterns. Sew Curvy will also be supplying a kit of top quality materials.

Basic sewing experience is required. Being able to use your machine and follow a basic sewing pattern. Specialist equipment will be there to use. But please bring your usual simple sewing items. I would request that you bring your own sewing machine (or let me know in advance).

I'm on the organising team and will be around all weekend.

Two days of talks and workshops with a Saturday night dinner and drinks evening.

You can also have your corsets shot on one of our team of fabulous professional models Threnody In Velvet, Miss Deadly Red, Miss Tosh (and others TBC) by our wonderful photographers (Chris Murray, InaGlo and Juliette Lichman of Somnolent Images). Swap fabrics and trims... and tips and tales. And most importantly socialise and network with our other attendees and guests.

Everyone is welcome whether you're a beginner, enthusiast (bloggers - we've had Lucy Corsets and The Lingerie Addict as attendees) or an experienced maker. Our delegates span all skill levels, there is something for everyone.
